The CHT Invertor, also known as a twist block, gently and rapidly rotationally positions a variety of containers at high speeds. Invertors or twist blocks allow for swift manipulation of containers anywhere from 90-180-360 degrees to improved handling of containers along a conveyor system. CHT invertor are custom engineered to each specific container for maximum productivity. The integration of our inverting solutions is easily achieved and has quick changeover options.
How it works: Movement of containers through the invertor is a continuous motion and is able to achieve ultra-high speeds (dependent on the container), approximately 2000 containers per minute (CPM). Minimum backpressure is required to move containers through the invertors, thus also making it a zero-energy consumption component.
Utilize the Invertor for these applications:
Invertors are incorporated onto our Ionized Air Rinsers to swiftly position containers before they are air rinsed.
The Cap Sterilization Unit utilizes inverting solutions to position hot filled containers to soak the cap and seal. This application is used to sterilize/pasteurize the container caps, by using the heat of the fluid inside the container to kill bacteria on the cap. These twist blocks have a small footprint, compared to other systems that perform the same application. Here are three ways to utilized Invertors for cap sterilization.
Dual Invertors: The first Invertor moves the containers over 180 degrees, releases it to the production line for a given length of time, then another Invertor turns it 180 degrees to the upright position for downstream processing.
Momentary Contact: Using one Invertor to rotate your product 120 degrees, which quickly soaks the cap in hot fluid and sets it upright to proceed down the production line.
All-In-One Unit: This system is for containers that need a full 360 degree turn in a small footprint for cap sterilization.
*Contact times vary per product rate.
These inverting solutions are specifically designed for the use of Cap Sterilization and are outfitted with heat dissipation gaps to aid with leaks, airflow and visual inspection. Our Invertors can be manufactured with changeover hardware for removal and cleaning processes.
The Carton Twist stands out for its seamless integration capabilities. Whether you require a 90 or 180-degree inversion, this twist can be effortlessly incorporated into your existing production line, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. Its design focuses on continuous motion, allowing for smooth and efficient movement of containers while achieving adjustable speeds tailored to your operational needs.
Moreover, the Carton Twist inverting solution employs ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, a material that significantly reduces back pressure during the movement of products. This feature not only enhances the longevity of the machine but also optimizes the overall workflow, making it an invaluable asset for any production environment.
