Carleton Helical Technologies is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Lathe Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic lathe experience who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality parts, and thrives in a repetitive production environment.

We manufacture precision container handling equipment for customers in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer products industries. Every part we produce plays an important role in keeping our customers’ packaging lines running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual lathes to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Set up and monitor machining operations to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
  • Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship.
  • Inspect finished parts before moving them to the next production stage.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Lathe or machining experience preferred.
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift up-to 40-50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
